You might have heard from somebody that you shouldn't keep your laptop plugged aside from charging it because that can reduce your battery life in the long run. This is true for some but isn't for others. So how should you know if you must not keep your laptop plugged while working at home? Yes it is a convenvience if you can just keep it plugged because you wouldn't need to worry about it getting low on battery specially if you're just at home where you can easily plugged it. The thing is it isn't really the plugging in the ac wall that is killing your battery but it is the heat. So if you've noticed that your laptop is getting hot when you're using it while being 100% charged and plugged in the AC wall then you should really moved to a cooler place in the house or if you can remove the battery then remove it. For lithium-ion batteries aside from watching not heating up too much you should also take care of it not getting fully drained. A fully drained to a fully charged is called a deep cycle in battery charging and in lithium-ion's case this can severely hurt the battery life so you should really be careful of it not getting fully drained.
